Hold over the middle.
Execute cleanly.
Stay in control.
Built for every shot. Trusted when it matters most.
Imagine drawing back and knowing, not hoping, how your shot is going to unfold. No fighting to keep the pin over the middle. No white-knuckling the release. No wondering which version of you will show up when the opportunity you have waited for finally presents itself.
Just a shot your body already knows how to execute because you trained it to, not because you had to talk yourself through it.
The goal isn't perfection. It is a shot you understand, stay in control of, and trust.
Knowing how to make a good shot is not the same thing as having a shot you trust.
Loss of control does not always look the same.
- The pin freezes low, high, or just outside the middle.
- You can hold over the middle, but you cannot execute without forcing it.
- The pin looks steady until your finger touches the trigger, then it jumps or drifts away.
- The farther you shoot, the harder you aim and the worse it becomes.
- You punch or rush the shot the instant the pin looks right.
These problems may look different, but they are often different expressions of the same learned response.
Watch this five-minute explanation to understand why these problems happen and why forcing the shot usually makes them worse.
You don’t lack discipline. Your shot has become tied to the wrong command.
Most archers are taught to put the pin in the middle and squeeze the trigger. After enough repetition, the brain begins connecting that sight picture, or the feeling of touching the trigger, with an immediate command to shoot. That is why one archer punches as the pin gets close, another freezes just off center, and another can hold on the middle but cannot execute without forcing it. These are not failures of courage, talent, or determination. Your brain simply became efficient at the shot pattern it was given. Since that response was learned, it can be rebuilt.
How We Rebuild It
The Shot Execution System teaches you to aim at the spot, allow the pin to float, and stay in control as execution builds, without the middle of the target becoming the command to fire. You remain in control of the shot. You simply stop trying to control its exact millisecond.
First, learn the shot.
Understand what controlled execution should feel like and why trying to time the shot when the pin reaches the middle keeps feeding the problem.
Then, rebuild the response.
Strip the shot down, build clean execution where success is easier, and reconnect that execution to aiming through a controlled progression.
Finally, make it repeatable.
Each session has one job. Each stage has a checkpoint. You know what you're working on, what a successful rep should feel like, and whether you're ready to move forward.
The goal isn't to finally understand the shot. It is to take a shot you can execute correctly and build it into something your brain and body trust.
Learn it first. Build it deliberately. Trust it when it matters.
The principles behind this system were helping archers rebuild their shot long before the full course existed.
Wes Satzinger
“It completely overhauled my shot process and execution.”
"I’ve taken archery seriously for about 10 years. For the first several years, I was always just okay. I never seemed to get better. Then my pin stopped settling on the spot, and I began doing the “drive-by” method. Very quickly, my shots became sporadic, and archery became frustrating.
That’s when I found Bow Only’s shot execution process. What made it different was the level of detail. They explained the exact sequencing, what to focus on, how to aim, how to build the process, and how to work through it step by step.
As a former D1 baseball player, I understand what it takes to improve a skill. Bow Only brings that same level of professionalism, detail, and coaching to archery."
Jim Lott
"Now I again have confidence in my shot and am enjoying archery again.”
"I've bow hunted for over 30 years. I've battled with target panic probably half of those years. In 2025 I was ready to quit, but didn't want to quit, so I knew I had to change something.
Josh has a system that completely changed my shooting. Following it step by step, I relearned how to shoot. It took several months to break my old, bad habits, but it worked! Now I again have confidence in my shot and am enjoying archery again."
Joe Feigen
“I went from not sure if I could put an arrow onto a target to practicing comfortably at 60 yards. What an empowering feeling!”
"From early spring through the fall of 2021, I worked hard following Josh’s process. Before that, I felt like hanging the bow up for good.
That November, I arrowed my biggest bow buck at the time at 12 yards. With target panic, I likely would have punched before getting the pin on him. Instead, I was cool and confident and made a clean double-lung shot.
The next season, I shot another target buck at 20 yards with full confidence. I still have moments when I feel anxiety while shooting, but thanks to Josh, I know what to do to keep it at bay."
Learning the Shot Is Only the Beginning
You may understand and feel a clean shot very quickly. The real work is making that response repeatable as aiming and distance are added back in, and eventually under pressure.
That is what this system is built to do.
Everything You Need to Build the Shot, Apply It, and Keep It.
The goal isn't to give you more information about how you should shoot. It's to give you a clear process for actually building that shot.
You'll know what to work on, what clean execution should feel like, when you're ready to move forward, and what to do if the old response starts showing up again.
You won't be left wondering what to do next.

Do the Work. Build More Control and Trust. Or Get Your Money Back.
I believe strongly enough in The Shot Execution System that I’m willing to take the financial risk for 60 days.
Here is my promise:
Complete Modules 1 through 4, complete at least 30 documented training sessions while following the progression and readiness standards as taught, and track your training using the provided logs.
If you genuinely do the work and still do not see meaningful improvement in the control, confidence, and trust you have in your shot, send me your completed training logs within 60 days of purchase and I’ll refund your purchase.
This is a work-required guarantee, not a free trial. If you only watch the videos and never complete the training, it does not apply.

I don’t want your money.
You can do this. I’ve got your back.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this course only for archers with severe target panic?
No. It’s built for compound archers and bowhunters who want a more controlled, repeatable shot, whether you freeze off target, punch or rush the release, struggle to execute over the middle, break down under pressure, or simply don’t trust your shot.
How quickly should I expect improvement?
It varies. I’m not going to pretend years of bad habits can disappear in one shot.
Some archers notice changes quickly. Others need more time. The progression gives you structure, but you advance based on readiness, not simply because another day passed.
Can this fix my shot instantly?
Some methods can help you produce a controlled shot very quickly by giving you a verbal cue, mental checklist, or conscious process to manage during the shot.
Those methods can work for some people, and feeling that immediate control can be incredibly valuable.
This system is built around a different goal.
I don't just want you to prove that you can make one controlled shot when you're consciously talking yourself through it. I want clean execution to become the response you have trained, so you are not relying on a cue or checklist as the only thing holding the shot together when pressure shows up.
You can begin feeling the difference early in the rebuild as you learn what clean execution is actually supposed to feel like. The guided progression is what takes that new response and makes it increasingly repeatable as aiming, distance, and eventually pressure are added back in.
Knowing how to make one good shot is the beginning. Building a shot you can trust is the goal.
How much time does the training take?
You do not need hours every day. Most sessions take roughly 15–20 minutes and about 30-35 arrows.
The core rebuild requires a minimum of 30 focused training sessions, with no more than one session per day. Some archers may move through the progression in around 30 days. Others may need longer depending on where they start and how quickly they meet the readiness standards.
You are not racing a calendar. The focus is quality repetitions, with a clear progression showing you what to practice and when you’re ready to move forward.
Should you start this right before season?
If your shot is completely broken and you do not trust yourself at full draw, starting the rebuild may be the best thing you can do.
But if you are shooting well enough right now and your hunt is only a couple weeks away, I would not tell you to overhaul everything in a panic.
The course is not built to give you more thinking in your shot. It is built to rebuild the shot process so you need less thoughts over time.
Go through it when you can follow the progression honestly.
Will I need a different release?
You can start with the release you already own. For many archers, a different release style creates the cleanest separation from old habits, but the course also teaches ways to build a cleaner firing map with your current equipment.
Do not buy or change anything before the release lesson. I’ll show you how to evaluate what you own and choose the strongest path forward.
I’ve tried every release out there and still struggle. Why would this be different?
Because another release by itself is not the solution.
Without the right progression, you can build the same anticipation into a completely different release. This course teaches you how to change the response, not just the hardware.
What happens if I do the work and it still doesn’t help?
That’s what the 60-day work-required guarantee is for.
Complete the required core training, follow the progression, and document the work. If you do that and still don’t see measurable improvement within the guarantee period, I’ll refund your purchase.
If you do the work, follow the plan, and the system doesn’t deliver, I don’t want your money.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime access, including future course updates at no additional cost.
Come back anytime to repeat the progression, refresh before hunting season, revisit a lesson, or troubleshoot a problem.
Why pay for this when there’s free information online?
More information usually isn’t the problem.
The value is having the entire process organized in the right order, knowing exactly what to practice, when to progress, and what to do when something breaks down, instead of piecing your shot together from disconnected advice.
Why isn't this free?
I have given away a lot of free help over the years and I will continue to do that. But this course is not a quick tip or a few random drills.
It is the full shot execution system, laid out step by step, for archers who need more than another piece of advice.
I built it because I cannot keep up with the amount of people asking for 1 on 1 help, and because most struggling archers need a clear process they can follow on their own.
If you are happy with how you shoot, you do not need this. If you are stuck, freezing, punching, holding off, panicking, or losing trust in your shot, this was built for you.
Build a Shot You Can Trust
If you're ready to stop guessing and put in the work, The Shot Execution System gives you the step-by-step process to rebuild your shot and learn to trust it when it matters most.
